Pure Exosomes combines an exosome formulation with Dermapen 4 microneedling to help improve the look and quality of the skin: fine lines, dullness, uneven texture and tone, enlarged pores and acne scarring, and skin that looks tired after other aesthetic treatments. It is also used on the scalp as part of a programme for thinning hair.

What you should see

Over a course of sessions, skin typically looks smoother, brighter and more even in texture and tone. On the scalp, any change in the look of thinning hair is gradual and is assessed over several months. Results vary from person to person.

Who it is not for

Active cancer or recent cancer treatment, unless cleared by your oncologist
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Active skin infection, cold sores, open wounds or inflamed acne in the area
Allergy to any ingredient in the product
Uncontrolled autoimmune disease (assessed individually)
Isotretinoin within the past six months
A tendency to keloid scarring

Downtime, in full

After microneedling, the skin is usually pink, like a mild sunburn, for 24–48 hours, sometimes with slight dryness or flaking for a few days. Most people return to their normal routine within a day or two.

Comfort and anaesthesia

Microneedling feels like a light prickling or vibrating sensation. A topical anaesthetic cream may be applied beforehand to keep it comfortable.

Timeline

Skin may look fresher within one to two weeks, and texture continues to improve over the following weeks. A course of two to four sessions, a few weeks apart, is typical, followed by occasional maintenance sessions.
