BBL & MOXI
Two technologies, one platform: tone and texture together.
Sciton's BBL HERO treats pigment and redness with broadband light; MOXI renews texture with a gentle fractional laser. Combined, they address how the skin looks and how it feels.
- 01Light meets pigment — Filtered broadband light passes into the skin and is absorbed by clusters of excess pigment.
- 02Vessels are calmed — The same light is taken up by the fine surface vessels responsible for diffuse redness.
- 03Tone evens out — Treated pigment rises and sheds with natural skin turnover, leaving a more even tone.

Device treatment
BBL & MOXI
Every treatment begins with a physician consultation. A consultation is not a commitment to treatment.
What it is
Sciton's BBL HERO treats pigment and redness with broadband light; MOXI renews texture with a gentle fractional laser. Combined, they address how the skin looks and how it feels.
What it addresses
Sun damage, pigmentation, freckles and age spots, redness and broken capillaries, marks left by acne, uneven tone and texture, enlarged-looking pores, fine lines and early signs of ageing, and dull, tired-looking skin. Both technologies also encourage the skin's natural renewal and collagen production.
What you should see
Over the course, pigmentation and redness typically fade and tone and texture improve, leaving skin that looks clearer, smoother and more radiant, with refined-looking pores. Results build with each session and last longer with daily sun protection. Individual results vary.

What it does not do
- Does not lift jowls or replace a facelift
- Does not reduce fat under the chin or on the body
- Does not fill deep folds or lines the way fillers do
- Does not remove tattoos
- Has a limited effect on deep acne scars
- Is not a one-session or permanent cure for pigmentation: sun protection and maintenance are needed
Who it is not for
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- A tan, sunburn or recent sun exposure on the area
- Medication or conditions that make the skin sensitive to light, such as lupus
- Active skin infection, cold sores or open wounds in the area
- Isotretinoin (oral acne medication) in the past six months
- A history of keloid scarring
- Poorly controlled diabetes or poor wound healing
- Undiagnosed or changing moles or skin lesions in the area
- Light-triggered (photosensitive) epilepsy
Areas
- Forehead (sun spots, fine lines, dullness)
- Temples and between the brows (uneven pigment, early sun damage)
- Cheeks (pigmentation, redness, rough texture)
- Nose (broken capillaries, sun damage)
- Around the mouth (uneven tone, fine lines)
- Jawline (sun damage, dull tone)
- Neck (sun damage, crepey texture)
- Décolletage (sun spots, redness)
- Backs of the hands (age spots)
Downtime, in full
BBL: mild redness for a day or two, while pigmented spots darken before they flake away. MOXI: a bronzed, sandpaper-like texture for several days as tiny treated spots shed. With both together, expect a few days of social downtime, often three to five.
Comfort and anaesthesia
BBL feels like a series of warm snaps, similar to a rubber band, and the skin is cooled during treatment. MOXI feels like prickly heat; a topical anaesthetic cream may be applied beforehand to keep you comfortable.
Timeline
Treated pigment darkens and then flakes away over one to two weeks, and the skin often looks brighter within a week. Tone and texture keep improving with each session. A course of three sessions, about four weeks apart, is typical, and some skin needs more. Maintenance once or twice a year helps preserve the result, and daily sun protection helps it last.
After the treatment
- Apply SPF 50+ daily and reapply when outdoors
- Avoid direct sun for one to two weeks: wear a hat and seek shade
- Use a gentle cleanser and a plain, fragrance-free moisturiser
- No retinoids, acids or scrubs until the flaking has finished
- No sauna, steam or intense heat for 2–3 days
- Let the bronzed flakes shed on their own; do not pick or scrub them
- If you are prone to cold sores, tell your doctor beforehand: antiviral medication may be advised

- Persistent facial redness or broken capillaries
- Rough, uneven skin texture
- Early fine lines and crepey skin
