Venus Epileve is a diode laser. Its light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and converted to heat, which travels down to the follicle and impairs its ability to regrow hair. Only follicles in their active growth phase respond at any one time, which is why treatment is given as a course. A real-time cooling system in the applicator cools the surface of the skin throughout.
