What the BBL HERO holds in its hands.
Each handpiece on this unit, and what it does — in the manufacturer’s own terms.

One BBL handpiece, many treatments: the filter slotted into the handpiece sets the wavelength band, and with it what the light is used for.

Delivers the broadband light through its cooled window in continuous motion over large areas; snap-on Finesse adapters narrow it to 15, 11, 7 or 3 mm for small areas such as the upper lip.
Source · Sciton, BBL HEROicHow it works
In three steps.
- 01
Light meets pigment
Filtered broadband light passes into the skin and is absorbed by clusters of excess pigment.
- 02
Vessels are calmed
The same light is taken up by the fine surface vessels responsible for diffuse redness.
- 03
Tone evens out
Treated pigment rises and sheds with natural skin turnover, leaving a more even tone.
In words
BBL HERO is a broadband light device, not a laser. Interchangeable filters tune its pulses of light so that they are absorbed mainly by excess pigment or by the small vessels behind redness, which are heated selectively while a chilled sapphire crystal cools the surface of the skin. Treated pigment typically darkens and flakes away with the skin's natural turnover, while treated vessels gradually fade.
Areas the clinic treats with it: face, neck, décolleté, hands, body.
