Why it happens
Double Chin, explained plainly.
Fullness beneath the chin usually comes from a pocket of fat under the skin, sometimes together with fat deeper beneath the neck muscle, loose skin, or a naturally short or receding chin. It often runs in families and can be present in people who are otherwise slim, which is why diet and exercise may change it very little. With age, slackening skin and the muscle beneath can add to the effect. A proper assessment distinguishes fat from laxity, because each is approached differently.
